Brent M. Hoffman –
I got pre-measured prior to buying this suit. I came out with a 45″ chest, and a 34/35″ waist.. being 5’8″ 200lbs and athletic I opted for a 44S/38-30. Based on the other reviews, and the disclaimer of “slim-fit” I was assuming it would have been if anything too small; this was not the case. The jacket and vest have plenty of breathing room, but are blocky enough that I don’t buy the slim fit prospect especially being a size smaller than my chest measurement indicated. The pants I obviously knew were going to be huge, being that I have a disproportionately large upper body. The only fault I had with the pants is that once again I assumed the slim fit title would have meant that the taper of the legs would’ve been a lot more snug (which is what I was aiming for). Either way, for a discount non-separates suit it isn’t a total loss.I am heading to my local tailor tomorrow to see what I can get done to make it fit to my liking. The plan is to snug up the vest and jacket a bit to my shoulders, lengthen the sleeves maybe an inch, bring in the waist about 2″, and hopefully taper in the legs. I will update once this is all done.—–Edit:I just got the suit back from the tailor. The first thing she said to me was to never buy that brand of suit ever again. Her reasoning being that they skimped on usable fabric in the majority of areas that tailors typically utilize, her biggest finding being the shoulders of the jacket. Either way she managed to get the majority of what I requested accomplished it fits much better. Will I wear this suit? absolutely. Will I buy another Azar man suit? probably not.
