I really wanted to like this suit based on the description and photos, very, very sharp indeed! My package arrived in timely fashion (very quickly), the packing was superb and neat (you really could wear it out of the box!) and appearance wise this suit had it all although the pattern was more of a muted glen plaid than houndstooth and more blue versus grey then I expected. I was willing to overlook those relatively minor points but alas the fit was not as claimed and a disappointment. The item description stated that this was a very slim fitting suit and as a result consider buying a size up. I’m 5’11”, weigh 168 pounds and generally wear a 38 or 40 slim fit cut jacket, 32″ waist so I went with a size 40R. The jacket actually fit quite well but the vest was very loose and would have required alterations for a proper fit and surprisingly ditto for the trousers which were closer to a 34″ waist fit based on my opinion. They also would have required extensive taking in at the waist so rather then shell out tailoring $$ I chose to return the suit, take the 15% hit restock/return fee get my money back. The seller did process my refund in timely fashion. Too bad….slick suit but not as described size wise.

I got pre-measured prior to buying this suit. I came out with a 45″ chest, and a 34/35″ waist.. being 5’8″ 200lbs and athletic I opted for a 44S/38-30. Based on the other reviews, and the disclaimer of “slim-fit” I was assuming it would have been if anything too small; this was not the case. The jacket and vest have plenty of breathing room, but are blocky enough that I don’t buy the slim fit prospect especially being a size smaller than my chest measurement indicated. The pants I obviously knew were going to be huge, being that I have a disproportionately large upper body. The only fault I had with the pants is that once again I assumed the slim fit title would have meant that the taper of the legs would’ve been a lot more snug (which is what I was aiming for). Either way, for a discount non-separates suit it isn’t a total loss.I am heading to my local tailor tomorrow to see what I can get done to make it fit to my liking. The plan is to snug up the vest and jacket a bit to my shoulders, lengthen the sleeves maybe an inch, bring in the waist about 2″, and hopefully taper in the legs. I will update once this is all done.—–Edit:I just got the suit back from the tailor. The first thing she said to me was to never buy that brand of suit ever again. Her reasoning being that they skimped on usable fabric in the majority of areas that tailors typically utilize, her biggest finding being the shoulders of the jacket. Either way she managed to get the majority of what I requested accomplished it fits much better. Will I wear this suit? absolutely. Will I buy another Azar man suit? probably not.
